The First Time in Russia
Still I remember the first time, when I flew from Korea to
another country. My family
didn’t
expect that we would go to Russia. (We thought that we will go to China)
before, that I didn’t know much about Russia. In the airplane, I was thinking that
Russia is really cold country also city that I am going to have hung polar
bears. When I got off from an
airplane, it wasn’t Russia, It was Frankfurt, Germany.
To be honest, I didn’t know where I am going, I was
just following my mom and father. I transferred In Frankfurt and again I flew.
In the airplane, I didn’t say anything and started to
ask to myself: are there polar bears with snow?
About 2 hours later, finally I arrived in St.Petersburg,
where was exotic and new culture for me. It was cold and dark. I felt really
strange. “Where
I am?” nobody answered my question. (We were really
sleepy!)
And we went to my father’s friend's house and there we
slept. The 2nd day of Russia was cool, I went IKEA.
Actually, I never have seen such big shopping center. Well, since Korea is so
small we had a really tall building but not a big one.
Dream came true
When I was in Koreme true. a,
I really wanted to see snow. When I came here, it was December. So mostly the
weather was snowy. It’s been really cool. I’ve living here for 3 years, but
still I am waiting for snow!! BUT! I couldn’t see polar bears. I was really disappointed,
but in the zoo, I could see it. I really saticifing with my life in Russia. Russian
culture was different, and special than another, I would say especially architecture.
Since I’ve been many countries, I felt Europe is really similar to each other. But,
Russia is really different, I don’t know why. Maybe I love this here. I’ve
learned here many things, such as culture, life, people. I am sure when I go
back to Korea, I won’t forget the memories in Russia.
